Weekend Find on Etsy

It's that time of year again.
I'm off to the Races this coming weekend.
The outfit is still up in the air, with the basics done...just need to accesorise with shoes, bag, jewellery and fascinator! I thought I'd see what I could find on Etsy!

I like this one by OlasDreamWorld.

This beautiful one from missrubysue.

This is stunning, from londonxox.

Or this from YJDesign.

We'll see what I come up with after the outfit is organised??

Weekend Find on Etsy

We begin Winter in a few days so I searched "Winter Photgraphy" for this weekend's Find.
I really liked this photo.

I live in a tropical location so we don't have snow.
I'm not sure I'd cope in a climate like this?
This place looks beautiful and I'd like to see what's at the end of that lookout.

Have a great week.
Watch for tomorrow's post....I can feel a SALE coming on!!

So, I thought I'd have a look for some scarves to dress up Winter outfits.

Weekend Find on Etsy

Our family has watched Avatar too many times in the last few weeks, since it's release on DVD.
It's a favourite with all of us. My son is running around the house with a pretend "plastic toy knife"...from his pirate stuff. There's also a big stick he pretends is his bow and arrow!
I can be anywhere around our home and a hiss will sound from behind me...it's that bad!! LOL

So, with all this excitememnt about Avatar, I searched it and found this.
That eye looks so real, don't you think??

Love that it's upcycled too.
Made by plumzesty.

Weekend Find on Etsy

I decide to go with a different approach to my Weekend find this week.
I searched for a particular item and found some very cool stuff.

Thanks to Ella, who's obsessed with Barbie of late...I searched "Barbie Dolls Furniture".
Maybe she can get that Barbie Doll house she was looking at last week??
Here's a few things that caught my eye.

Check out Barbie's Parisian themed lounge room, by 1exoticdesigns.

What Barbie doesn't need a sewing cupboard??

I love black and white dots but this is a pretty close second.
So very classic. I can see this in a grand old building, near a huge window with a big bunch of bright colored flowers on a table beside it...
Just divine.

I had a lovely day at the Handmade Expo yesterday.

All in all, a good day except for me fighting the wind!!
You can't have everything, I suppose? At least it didn't rain.

Weekend Find on Etsy

I went to the BrisStyle Indie Designer Markets on Saturday.
I have some news to share about BrisStyle in coming days, but 'll save that surprise! Shh!

They were held at Racecourse Rd at Ascot in a beautiful little church and surrounding grounds.
Luckily the rain stayed away and we got to poke around the fabulous selection of handmade goodness on offer.

I found the most beautiful dress for Miss Ella...
It's going away for a Birthday present, once it starts to warm up a little.

Isn't it just gorgeous?
The lovely lady who owns Tutus and Muddy Shoes makes them.
A very talented lady with so much beautiful kids clothing.

She's also started her own website, which has some great stuff on it too.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend...

Anyway, I thought I'd feature them...I liked them.

Weekend Find on Etsy

This weekend I'm featuring a lovely lady from Japan who I recently purchased some goodies from. Her name is Karen and she sells the most awesome tape...called Washi masking tape. Made from Japanese washi papers. You'll see it grace my pages quite a bit from now on. I've just finished a couple of pages using it!!

Remember the layout I did not long ago, featuring the new butterflies...

Well, the aqua and green strips are the washi tape.
Fabulous stuff. It added plenty of colour to my page in this layout!

Here's some close ups...

It has a sort of a waxy feel, and can be used on scrapbooking pages, it can stick up presents, you can write on it and it has plenty more uses...I just love the stuff.

Karen's Etsy shop is called Wasimatta, and she's lovely.
Very helpful and a great seller. I highly recommend her!!

She also as a blog, with plenty of yummy new items.
I might be putting in another order very soon! ;)
Be sure to check her out!!
